Terry Kettner

Terry Lee Kettner was born on June 27, 1953 to parents Dorothy (Schwanz) and Floris Kettner in Fairmont, Minnesota and passed in his home on March 9, 2024 in Fergus Falls, Minnesota.

He was baptized on July 19, 1953 and confirmed April 30, 1967 at St. Paul Lutheran Church and graduated from Truman High School. Terry obtained a degree in Agricultural Business Management at the U of M Crookston. He married his lifelong friend, Lori Kay Williamson on June 7, 1975. Terry and Lori moved to Dawson, MN in 1980 where he managed the Lac Qui Parle Co-op Fertilizer Plant and raised their family before moving to Fergus Falls to fulfill his lifelong dream of living on a lake in 2008. You’d find him in the boat fishing or on water skis (through age 60), playing cards, dice, or yard games with family and friends with a beer in his hand. Terry and Lori wintered in San Juan, Texas, enjoying golf, games, and gathering with friends.

Preceding him in death were his parents; brother, Dale Kettner, and father and mother-in-law, Veryle and Joan Williamson.

Terry is survived by his wife, Lori; son, Matthew (Lori); daughter, Stacy (Josh); grandchildren, Jacob, Ben, Lizzie, and Joey; sisters-in-law, Vanessa Kettner and Mary (Dale) Ebeling; brother-in-law, Steve (Marleone) Williamson, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Memorials can be directed to conservation of nature and wildlife of donor’s choice.

Visitation with viewing: 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday, March 15, 2024 at Olson Funeral and Cremation in Fergus Falls, with prayer service at 5:30 p.m. Visitation will resume one-hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Memorial Service: 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Olson Funeral and Cremation. There will not be viewing at the memorial service.
