Patricia “Pat” Motz

Patricia “Pat” Motz, age 71, of Erhard, MN, died Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at her residence.

Patricia Ann was born May 15, 1949 in Moorhead, MN, to William and Elizabeth (Zebley) Anderson.  She attended school in Moorhead, MN and later Pelican Rapids.

On September 9, 1967 Patricia married David Motz at Grace Lutheran Church in Erhard, MN.  She raised six children as well as worked at the Good Samaritan Center in Pelican Rapids for 23 years. 

She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and involved in the ladies’ circle.  Patricia enjoyed ceramics, bowling, playing cards and darts, especially enjoyed dancing with David.  She also liked watching Nascar, Minnesota Twins and Minnesota Vikings, particularly her children’s athletic events.  A special time for Pat was when family and friends would gather for Fourth of July celebration.

Patricia is survived by her husband David; children: Kerry (Nicacio) Zapata, Brian (Sandra Benjaminson) Motz, Karen (Aaron) Pederson, Bradley (Suzanne) Motz, Terry (Jennie) Motz, Gary (Becky) Motz; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers: Donald (Ilene) Anderson, Keith (Marsha) Anderson; brother-in-law Douglas (Lynn) Motz.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Steve Anderson, Ronald Anderson, Kenneth Anderson; sisters: Carol Center, Jean Orvedal, best friend Sheryl Anderson.

Visitation will be Friday, October 30, 2020, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, Erhard, Minnesota with Pastor Brad Soenksen officiating.
