Clarence Peasley, age 93, of Erhard, MN, died Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Pelican Valley Senior Living, Pelican Rapids, MN.
Clarence L. was born October 3, 1925 in Erhard, MN, to William and Nettie (Helgeson) Peasley. He attended country school near Edwards, MN. Clarence served in the United States Army during World War II receiving a purple heart. Clarence was united in marriage with Rose Marie and John was born from this union. For 5 years he worked at Elk River Concrete. He married Clara Lee and from this union, Vicki was born. He worked for Anderson Brothers Construction in Fergus Falls, MN up to retiring in 1990. He also owned and operated Peasley’s Greenhouse for more than 35 years near Erhard, Minnesota.
Clarence enjoyed gardening, baking, canning, loved flowers, birds, making bird houses and old country music. He loved to fish both summer and winter, he enjoyed having a fish fry after going fishing. He always enjoyed telling his stories every time he would tell them they would get bigger and bigger. Clarence loved spending time with his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family and friends.
He is survived by his children: John (Becky) Peasley, Perham, Vicki (Kevin) Emery, Erhard, step-daughter Patty (Terry) Michelson, Fergus Falls; eight grandchildren: Amanda (Shawn) Peasley, Justin (Tessa) Emery, Jessica (Shorty) Emery, Mike Peasley, Carrie (Richard) Peasley, Matthew (Kelly) Peasley, Dylan (Mallory) Peasley, and Shawn (Mikaela) Peasley; and ten great-grandchildren; sister, Violet Emery; brothers: Carrol Peasley and Darrel (Linda) Peasley; sister-in-law Idella Peasley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Clarence is preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Johnny Jr. Peasley; brothers: Murrel Peasley and Charles (Eileen) Peasley; sisters: Betty (John) Bolstad and Adeline (Harvey O.) Mostue; brother-in-law Lloyd Emery.
Visitation: one hour prior to the service at funeral home
Memorial Service: 11am, Friday, November 30, 2018 at Larson Funeral Home, Pelican Rapids, Minnesota with Pastor Evie Beste officiating.
