God welcomed a new angel into Heaven. Ashley passed away peacefully, surrounded by her husband and family, at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, on Saturday, September 10, 2016.
Ashley was born in Fergus Falls, MN, on June 13, 1991, to Brad and Brenda Mergens. Ashley was a 2009 graduate of Fergus Falls High School. Ashley attended Minnesota State University, Mankato where she earned a Masters of Speech Language Pathology in 2015. She was employed with Early Intervention Partners in Fargo, ND. Ashley married Eric Perrine on June 11, 2016.
She truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures. Ashley enjoyed spending time with family at the lake in Hackensack, MN, reading, watching movies, going to the Minnesota State Fair, bonfires, family game nights, spending time with her nieces and nephews, and enjoyed being the champion in her family fantasy football league. There are few people on this earth that have the ability to touch others the way Ashley did. She was a selfless person who always put the needs of others before her own.
Ashley will be sadly missed and forever remembered by her loving husband, Eric Perrine of West Fargo, ND; parents, Brad and Brenda Mergens of Fergus Falls; sisters, Mindy Obrigewitch (Josh) of Glyndon, MN, and Nicole Enkers (Greg) of West Fargo; grandmas, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. She will be reunited in Heaven with her grandfathers, Ed Mergens and Bill Durheim.
Ashley’s family would like to send a loving thank you to her Medical Oncologist, Dr. Minetta Liu, nurses and the entire extraordinary medical care team.
A celebration of Ashley’s life will be Thursday, September 15, 2016, at 1pm, at Triumph Lutheran Brethren Church, 2901 – 20th Street South, Moorhead. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
