Rodney Dale Johnson

Rodney Dale Johnson, 60, a resident of Parkers Prairie, passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2020. A service will be held on Sat., Jan. 23  at Zion Lutheran Church.

Rodney was born March 2nd, 1960, to Marvin and Elaine (Johnson) Logan in Fergus Falls.

He currently was working for the USDA for twenty plus years in multiple locations where he has made numerous life-long friendships.

He first started by working on his grandparents’ farm and on his uncle Charles’s farm, where he helped with his first car rebuild.

Later in his life, he worked at multiple places, including four years in the Military and construction with his uncle Charles building pole barns. Showing just how much he preferred working with his hands. He also worked at Country Kitchen for some time, where he met his wife of nearly thirty-one years, Brenda.

Rodney enjoyed going to bingo and playing cards with family and friends, going to auctions and car shows, and the occasional steak dinner in his free time. Although sometimes preferring to stay home with family watching sci-fi movies. He also really enjoyed going fishing, especially in his newly acquired boat. For his birthdays, he especially enjoyed celebrating together with his twin brother Robert Johnson.

Proceeding him in death were his parents, Marvin Johnson and Elaine (Johnson) Logan, his grandparents.

Rodney is survived by his wife, Brenda Johnson of Parkers Prairie; his children Joshua, Devin, and Kirsten all of Parkers Prairie; his siblings Darlene Boeder of Fergus Falls, Barb (Bob) Tackett of Fergus Falls, twin brother Robert Johnson of Dilworth, Wayne Johnson of Dilworth, and  Scott Logan of Fergus Falls, as well as, multiple nieces and nephews.

A limb has fallen from our family tree, that says grieve not for me. REMEMBER 

the best times, the laughter and most of all remember the good life I lived while 

I was strong.

God saw you getting tired, When a cure was not to be. So he wrapped his arms

around you and whispered, “come to me.” You didn’t deserve what you went 

through, so he gave you the rest you needed. Goodbye is not forever, goodbye 

is not the end, it simply means we will miss you Rodney, until we meet again.
